Beginning today, Jacki Kellum will offer a free online challenge: Write Morning Pages to restore your inner balance, to restore your creativity, and to make yourself whole. Although writing is the vehicle for this restoration, Writing Morning Pages is not about creative writing–it is not merely for writers. Writing Morning Pages is an activity that will help EVERYONE function more creatively. Once every week, on Wednesdays, I’ll share a chapter or a tipe from Julia Cameron’s Artist’s Way series, and that is why I am calling it The Wednesday Way.

Before I tell you more about The Wednesday Way. I want to share a true story with you:

A few years ago, I couldn’t force myself to write or to paint. After my spirit had previously suffered several blows, I had become creatively mute. I could not paint and I could not write. Depression had set in, and it seemed that I was emotionally doomed. Fortunately, a perceptive friend gave me a copy of Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way, and word by word, I wrote myself out of my dark pit.
Since that time, my creativity has been restored, and several times, I have taught what I learned from Julia Cameron’s book. The Artist’s Way offers blocked creatives a path to become creatively active again through the writing of Morning Pages. Unlike other types of writing, Writing Morning Pages has no end goal other than that of emptying one’s mind and untangling one’s mental wires. Anyone can be helped by writing Morning Pages, and Anyone can write Morning Pages.

The Wednesday Artist’s Way will begin on January 7, 2026, and it will continue for the next few months. It is a Free Online Opportunity from Jacki Kellum Studios.
