#LetsProcreate Day 1 – How to Create a Procreate Canvas, How to Use Procreate Brushes, How to Use Color in Procreate

Welcome to #LetsProcreate–A New Online Event I am creating to help absolute procreate beginners to jump in and start creating in the fabulous art-making Ipad App Procreate.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO WORK IN PROCREATE?

Procreate in an inexpensive Ipad App. You need an Ipad to create in procreate.

  • I recommend Ipad Pro — the largest Ipad.
  • I also recommend that you opt for an Ipad with tons of storage power. If your Ipad doesn’t have enough gigs, you will be limited in you file size [project size] and the number of layers you can use.
  • You Need an Apple PencilUser holding Apple Pencil Pro, a vibrant brush line is following

Apple Pencil is a glorified stylus that is essential to unleash the power of Procreate.

On Day 1 of #LetsProcreate, I created 3 short posts. If people are like me, they don’t have time to watch hours of tutorials and read tomes of instructional material. Most of us want learning to be short and sweet, and for that reason, I am breaking my posts into short posts so that people can dive into learning procreate one step at a time.

Learning Procreate is Important for Today’s Content Creators

I am a dinosaur. For years, I have creating art the traditional way. To be honest, I am not learning procreate to improve my art.

I Am Learning Procreate to Help Me with Publishing–Especially if I Opt to Try Self Publishing.

If you have read many of my blog posts, you probably have gleaned the reality that I often write devotionals and Bible stories.

Granted, I am fortunate that my debut picture book was published by Doubleday for Young Readers, which is one of the imprints  of Penguin Random House.  That was a HUGE miracle!

How Big is Penguin Random House – The #1 Publishing House

Because it is of a religious nature, I am especially stunned that my Donkey’s Song was published by a traditional publisher. It is difficult to get religious books published, and I am considering going the self-publishing route with some of the other things I have written. In my opinion, Knowing How to Create Images in Procreate Is Invaluable for Self-Publishers.
