(HAWAII *All Islands) Matt Forsythe – a closer look

Hawaii chapter of SCBWI is happy to announce this two-hour webinar with Matthew Forsythe. During this presentation, intended for illustrators, Matt will give us a closer look into his process. He will talk about his thumbnailing and design process, and what materials and tools he uses to bring his illustrations to life. He will be sharing progress images of a painting at different stages of completion and discussing what decisions are going into each step of the process. We will have time after the presentation for questions.
Matthew Forsythe lives in Montreal where he makes picture books and designs for animation.
His first picture book Pokko and the Drum, was named Book of the Year by Publishers Weekly, NPR and Quill and Quire. It was also awarded a Charlotte Zolotow Honor for writing.
He was the Lead Designer on the animated show, Adventure Time at Cartoon Network.
He is currently designing a stop-motion Christmas film with Netflix and Aardman Animations in the UK, for release Fall 2020.
