Advent Day 5 – The Tower of Babel – A Bible Story and Some Activities for the Family

God’s People Tried to Live Without Him

The people built a tower. They wanted to reach heaven without God’s help.

They wanted to say, “Look at us up here, and everyone will look up at us and we’ll look down on them.”

God weakened His people by giving them many different languages and thus, preventing their communication with each other.

People didn’t need a staircase. They needed a Rescuer….the way to Heaven was a Person.”

Breath of Heaven

But Let’s Get Back to Today’s Story:

God’s people were becoming more and more selfish and greedy and hateful to each other.

They wanted to say, “Look at us up here, and everyone will look up at us and we’ll look down on them.”

They remind me of the Sneetches:

Today, we will draw a tower from cylinders.
