I am not sure when I purchased my off-topic iris–nor exactly how many bulbs I initially [ planted, but I know that I had one plant growing in my garden in the Ozark Mountains:

I transported one Off Topic plant from my garden in the Ozarks to my garden in Water Valley, but very quickly that one plant became several.

Today is February 23–two months before my iris will begin blooming, but my plants are already up, and they about 18″ tall. I can already tell that I will have more  plants this year than I had last year.

 Off Topic Iris has a Vigorous Growth Habit and It Reproduces Quickly.

If I had not saved the plant label, I would question exacty whic iris I am growing. Off Topic is usually pictured with a two-toned fall.

While my Off Topic iris is bi-colored, the falls are one-toned.

The Falls of an Iris are the Petals that Drop Downward. The Standards ar the Petals that Are More Erect.

The Standards of an Off Topic Iris are Lavender or Lighter Purple, and the Falls are Dark Purple. In that regard, the Off Topic Iris is bi-colored.
