Start Early to Prepare for an Ice Storm
Three Days Before the Ice Storm was Expected to Hit, I Bought Crisco and Other Vegetable Shortening to Make Candles and Lamps:
I did not have time to order the best candle-making supplies for candle making. To keep the wick in the center, I tied the top of it to a fork.
You need a heavy cotton twine for candle making. 100% Cotton. Because I am an artist, I had some cotton twine here for making jewelry. That was not heavy enough.
