In toying with the concept of whether or not a goldfish is orange or whether it is gold, I decided to create a metallic goldfish in response to the #Intober52 Challenge: Goldfish

i had already ordered a set of Artisttro Metallic Watercolor Paints:

With the Intober52 Prompt in mind, I lumped in, and in the process, I learned a lot. For this first attempt to create a metallic goldfish. I used a heavy piece of black cardstock. I realized that the Artistro Metallic Watercolors truly work like watercolor and to paint washes I need good watercolor paper–but in black and I have ordered Stonehenge Aqua Black Watercolor Paper.

One might question how a metallic watercolor is suitable for Inktober. When used as a wash for ink and wash drawings and/ior paintings, I say Yes!

I draw back into the metallic wash with Artustro Metallic Pens –filled with metallic ink.

Unlike the Artistro Paint Markers the Artistro Metallic Pens have an extra fine  .7mm nib
