Cordoba 20TM-CE Tenor Ukulele – Mahogany with Electronics – How the Electronics Work

Cordoba’s 20TM-CE acoustic-electric tenor ukulele sports a mahogany top, back, and sides for big tone from a small instrument.

The 20TM-CE is handbuilt by Cordoba in the traditional Portugese style for a great playing experience, and features a soft cutaway for easy upper-fret access. And the beautiful detailing on the 20TM-CE, from the wooden herringbone inlay to the chrome tuners with pearl buttons, makes this one uke you’ll love for a lifetime.

The Cordoba 20TM-CE features an active piezo pickup system. It includes a built-in onboard preamp and control panel with Volume, Bass, and Treble dials. The system is powered by a 9-volt battery, which sits in a small compartment on the ukulele’s side alongside the 1/4″ output jack.

The Cordoba Ukulele 20TM CE Has 2 Types of Electronics-a Piezo Pickup Located Under the Saddle and a 2-Band EQ Located on the Side;

  • Piezo Pickup: Located under the saddle, it captures the mechanical vibrations of the strings and converts them into an electrical signal. [1]
  • 2-Band EQ (Bass & Treble): [Located on the side] Allows you to shape your plugged-in tone right from the instrument. Turning the Bass up adds a warmer, deeper low-end, while adjusting the Treble helps cut through the mix with a brighter, bell-like response
