What Is A Repeat-Flowering Rose?

.A repeat-flowering rose produces in sprays throughout the growing season

I started my current garden in North Mississippi in 2024, and during that time, I have focused on creating raised beds, filling them with soil, and creating a labyrinth of climbing structures for climbing roses, After that. I began growing roses to climb those fences and arbors, None of those roses I’ve planted so far are repeat bloomers. I am adding an Eden Rose to that group this spring, and Eden is a repeat-bloomer.

In 2025, My Focus is on adding shorter shrub roses to grow amidst perennial cottage garden plants in what I am calling my rose garden.

Because this garden will surround a sitting area I am creating now, I want these roses to be both fragrant and to bloom repeatedly. I don’t have the space in this area for shrubs that are essentially green bushes most of the year. I don’t mind that my tall climbing roses do not repeat flowering. I am growing the tall climbers to cover my sitting area and to provide shade for the sitters below.
