Chronologically speaking, many Biblical years and stories stand between the Creation of the Garden of Eden and the Birth of Jesus. But within a few words, after Jesus was born, several things happened that deserve special mentioning. That is one good thing about celebrating the Twelve Days of Christmas.
The First Day of Christmas is Christmas Day.
On December 25, we celebrate the birth of Jesus.
On The Subsequent Days of Christmas, I like to revisit some of the stories of Advent and/or to tell some of the rest of Jesus’s story:
Immediately after the verses where we are told about the birth of Jesus in Luke 2, we are told about the shepherds who were in neighboring pastures at that time.
On the Second Day of Christmas, I celebrate those shepherds:

In almost the same breath, we are told about the glorious host of angels who filled the sky. singing glorious songs. On the Third Day of Christmas, I celebrate those angels:
