The Secret Garden is the first novel we’ll read together in the Free 2024 Looking at Lit Book Club.

Each day, I’ll share a chapter from the Free text of The Secret Garden, which is available at Project Gutenberg.

If you want to buy the book, I suggest the beautiful edition of the book illustrated by Inga Moore. It is available on Amazon.

I consider some movies, some songs, and other things to be literature. In the Looking at Lit Club, we’ll consider our ideas about The Secret Garden from many angles.

If you have an Amazon Prime Membership, you can watch the 1993 movie free. Maggie Smith is in that film.

I encourage everyone to do that, I’ll also talk about the movie.

You might also watch the following movie with Colin Firth and julie Waters. I streamed it  free on Hulu. At the end of June, we’ll discuss which of the two movies is more like the novel.

There are 27 short chapters in the Secret Garden. This book is perfect for a family bedtime story.  I hope to share the entire book with you by the end of June, 2024.
