In this post, I’ll show you how to create a citation for a book that you might read on Gutenberg.org.
First Tip
If you read a book on gutenberg.org your citation will be created as a webpage–even though you are reading the book itself.
My college students will be researching Greek Mythology, which I believe is an invaluable study for any writer.

Donna Napoli has created a gorgeous book of Greek myths, and it is currently on sale at Amazon, but honestly, I found the most detailed Greek myths on gutenberg.org. I recommend both resources for students of Greek Mythology.
At gutenberg.org you can also find fabulous geographical and historical books about Greek mythology. How to search the database:

Scribbr is a Fabulous Resource for Writers. Among many other things, they have a free Citation Generator.

If the resource does not generate automatically, search for it manually.
NOTE: Many of the old books have no publication date. If that is the case, leave that tab blank.
I love that on Scribbr’s Citation Generator, you can enter the date that you accessed any data that you find online.
