Years ago, I diffused essential oils, but I gradually lost interest in what is actually a very good idea.

I have recently begun making potpourri and herbal salves, and I purchased some essential oils for those pursuits. I decided to invest a bit more and get back into diffusing some of the oils again, too, and I am already pleased with that choice.

Aesthetically, I would have preferred a pottery or wood diffuser, but this Asakuki has great reviews, and it has a light that I can either use or not. I needed a night light for my bedroom anyway, and with this deal, I have a night light, humidifier, and oil diffuser–all in one. The light display can continuously shift to 7 differnt colors, or the user can select only one color. I selected a single pale blue color for my light. This diffuser has a very large tank. It will continue diffusing [and lighting] all night long.

*Important Note: the diffuser tank needs to be cleaned every three days.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil Is Great to Treat Congestion

I have asthma and allergies, and I have warm memories of my mother’s treating my bouts of congestion with Vicks VapoRub. The first time I opened a bottle of eucalyptus essential oil, memories of my childhood cradled me. Last night, I diffused eucalyptus essential oil all night long, and within an hour of having started the diffuser,  my congestion had begun to abate.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil Is Great to Treat Pain

I also have residual knee pain for an automobile accident several years ago, and last week when I was moving bags of garden soil, I re-injuured my knees. I have hardly been able to walk–especially early in the morning, but last night, I mixed eucaplyptus oil with jojoba oil, and I massaged my knees with that mixture before I slept. Voila! This morning, my knees are much better.
