On Day 6 of His Creation, God Animated His Perfect Garden of Eden.
God Created the Animals
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:24-25
First He created animals. I do not know which animals were in God’s Garden of Eden,
I can imagine that on Day 6, Roosters began crowing at dawn. can also imagine that Horses began kicking their back feet and pawing into the air with their front feet., while their tails flew into the air and cascaded and rippled behind them. I can imagine that Goats started lowering their heads and charging toward each other. In addition, I can imagine Crocodiles teeming through the water, Soon thereafter, the crocodiles and the hippos began their lifelong competition to determine who would rule the riverside.
As the animals were added to the garden, the character of that garden began to shift, but the greatest shift occurred soon after God created the first man and woman, No doubt, the animals challenged each other and raised their voices in anger, but
“Of all the animals, man is the only one that lies.” – Mark Twain
Day 7 of Advent is Peace Sunday, and I chuckle at the thought that on the 6th day of God’s creation, the peacefulness of the garden was in jeopardy. But let’s not allow the cart to jump before the horse:
God Created the Animals
24 Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind”; and it was so. 25 And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [g]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that [h]moves on the earth.”
29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. 30 Also, to every beast of the earth, to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, in which there is [i]life, I have given every green herb for food”; and it was so. 31 Then God saw everything that He had made, and indeed it was very good. So the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
On Day 6, God had Hope for his world.
The 6th Day of Advent is nearing the end of the week that began with Hope Sunday, and on Day 6, it seems that God still had Hope for His people, animals, and perfect garden. But those of us who have read this story zillions of times before know that a silent time bomb has been planted somewhere in God’s perfect world–but that threat will not raise its ugly head for a while.

For a while, let’s enjoy the world that God has created, and let’s consider what could lie ahead;
God Created the First Parents
On Day 6, God had not created the first children, but it is suggested that children will soon enter the picture:
“Be Fruitful and Multiply.”
On the 7th Day, God Rested, but in the coming days of Advent, we’ll learn that one of Adam and Eve’s sons was in Jesus’s Family Tree. During the next chapter of our Advent Journey, we’ll begin talking about the descendants of Adam and Eve who created a breadcrumb trail that will ultimately link Jesus to Adam and Eve.
But that is fodder for another day, Today, let’s celebrate the 6th Day of God’s Creation, when God was still pleased with the people in His world.
